Every day, there are more and more companies that are looking to expand sales with their clients. One way that companies can achieve such feats is with CRM software. CRM, which stands for customer relationship management, is one of the ways that a company can maximize sales profits.

An introduction to ACT database and Prophet.

Although there are many software programs that carry CRM information, the two that are well known are Prophet, and the ACT database. Prophet runs its CRM program entirely off of Outlook, which is why it is the most efficient CRM software program available. The ACT database for CRM, on the other hand, is extensive, and even then is not entirely compatible with Outlook. Many companies purchase these programs, as Outlook is already installed on many company computers, and there is not additional training that is needed to operate these functions. The ACT database is quite small in comparison to the Prophet database. This is because the ACT database must have additional software to operate through Outlook, whereas Prophet only needs its software data to function properly. Due to this, there are additional companies that are turning to Prophet, and driving away from the ACT database.

A function comparison of Prophet and ACT database.

To fully understand what an ACT database entails, an individual must take into consideration all of the functions of a database. In the Prophet program, the database holds information for the dependent of services. Such information that is recorded is the contact information, including the name of a company, the address of a company, and important telephone numbers. The ACT database is capable of holding such functions as well. However, with the ACT database, the client accounts can not be manipulated and viewed through the Outlook program. Instead, the ACT database must be operated under an alternate section, and then added to the Outlook program. This is indeed a tedious and time consuming task, which is why people are turning away from the ACT database software, and focusing on the Prophet program more and more.

ACT database is a CRM program of the past.

An ACT database was once the CRM that everyone was looking for. Once Prophet hit the market, and companies saw the sales potential for their company grow by leaps and bounds, they turned away from the ACT database, and turned on to Prophet. Companies all over the world have saved bundles of money with Prophet instead of using an ACT database. This is because there is additional software that must be purchased in order to operate an ACT database. Typically, the ACT database must be created outside of Outlook, and then transferred to the Outlook program. Unlike the ACT database, Prophet is fully operational through Outlook. Prophet not only saves time with these steps, but makes room for additional sales, whereas ACT database doesn't.

Prophet software is current and up to date.

ACT database has been known to be outdated, too. Prophet makes it a point to be current, and to know what the consumers are looking for. With all of the versions of ACT database that is available, ACT database fails to meet the standards of everyday customers. New versions of an ACT database that was fully compatible with Outlook would be the only way there would be additional sales of the ACT database. With the failure of the ACT database to launch software that is greatly needed, ACT database looses out on potential sales.

ACT database and Prophet are top competitors in the CRM industry.

ACT database and Prophet have always been head to head competitors in the CRM market. Many persons have found that Prophet is the more marketable product for their company, though. Compared to ACT database, Prophet can handle larger amounts of information, in a shorter amount of time. ACT database has a lot of steps that are necessary towards making a sale, whereas Prophet only needs a few key pieces of information. The ACT database is not capable of multitasking, unlike Prophet, which can create multiple sales at one time. Saving time on sales is one way that Prophet is highly marketable, and where ACT database looses its luster.

Sales can soar with prophet.

An ACT database is a program that can not be fully trusted. This is because the information hat is downloaded to an ACT database can become lost during a file transACTion. As previously mentioned, an ACT database must transfer files from outside of Outlook to send them from Outlook. It is during this transition that files are often lost from the ACT database. To add the complications and frustrations of the ACT database, such files that could be destroyed or lost in transition may be the main file that is needed for an ACT database sale. Therefore, this is the main reason why the ACT database suffers for sales while the Prophet database can process sales and other transactions with ease.

An ACT database is not fully functional

An ACT database is not as functional and operational as Prophet. This has been proven time and again. As companies can create more clients with Prophet, there will be multiple clients that will leave companies that operate on ACT database for those with Prophet. It comes as no surprise that Prophet has seen sales increase as a result of the instability that the ACT database software can provide. Overall, the ACT database pales in comparison to the Prophet program.

A final thought on the comparison of Prophet and ACT database.

Comparing Prophet and the ACT database is like comparing apples to oranges. Although there are qualities that the ACT database possesses, they are far from the qualities that are attributed to Prophet. Companies are turning left and right towards the expansion of their sales with Prophet instead of the ACT database. An ACT database is inadequate not only for the sales and maintenance of large companies, but for small businesses as well. It is evident that an ACT database is clearly not sufficient enough to support any sales program, let alone being a complete program in and of itself. Prophet has proven time and again that its software is the leading software for CRM programs, beating the ACT database hands down. With Prophet going places, the ACT database is soon to be a CRM program of the recent past.
